Rental terms &
conditions.
These terms apply to all goodgear rentals. “Equipment” means the items in your booking, and “Renter” means the person or organization renting them.
01. Booking & payment
Submitting a request does not reserve the Equipment. We’ll review it and confirm your rental within 24 hours of your request, subject to availability. Your confirmation will identify the Equipment, pickup and return dates, rental fee, and any item-specific replacement charges.
Pay the rental fee by Interac e-Transfer no later than three business days before pickup. Send it to payments@good-gear.ca. If you book within three business days of pickup, payment is due when we confirm your rental. We’ll refund any payment for a request we cannot fulfill.
02. Rental period
The rental period begins on the agreed pickup date and ends on the agreed return date. You agree to pay the applicable fees for the entire time the Equipment is on loan. The dates selected on a product page are days of use; your confirmation sets the pickup and return dates.
You need our written approval before extending a rental. If you return Equipment after the agreed return time without approval, each additional day or part of a day is charged at that item’s posted additional-day rate. Paying for extra days does not itself extend the agreed return date.
03. Pickup & possession
Inspect the Equipment at pickup. Tell us about any problem with its condition or operation before taking it. By accepting it, you confirm that it is in good working and physical condition except for any issue you have reported. The Equipment remains goodgear’s property. Keep it in your possession and control during the rental, and do not sell, transfer, or sublet it.
We may end the rental and reclaim the Equipment at any time by lawful means. If we end it for a reason other than your breach of these terms, we’ll refund any prepaid fee for the unused portion.
04. Use & responsibility
You are responsible for learning how to use the Equipment. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, instruction and troubleshooting are not included. Follow any supplied safety instructions and do not use the Equipment for an illegal purpose.
You use the Equipment at your own risk. While it is in your possession or control, you are responsible for loss, theft, missing items, and damage beyond normal wear, including reasonable repair or replacement costs, except to the extent caused by goodgear or prohibited by law. To the extent permitted by law, goodgear is not responsible for losses or damage arising from the Equipment’s use, failure, or misuse. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
05. Return & inspection
Return all Equipment and accessories at the agreed time in the condition received, allowing for normal wear. Accepting the return does not mean we have completed our inspection or waived a claim. We’ll inspect the Equipment within two business days and let you know about any missing items, damage, or outstanding charges before closing the rental.
06. Cancellations
Cancel at least three business days before pickup for a full refund. If you cancel later, we’ll refund what you paid minus a $50 administration fee. That fee will never exceed the amount you paid. Any cancellation or refund rights provided by law still apply.
07. Governing law & jurisdiction
British Columbia law and applicable Canadian law govern these terms. Subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law, disputes about a rental will be heard by the courts of British Columbia.
08. Your information
We use your contact and booking details to manage the rental, arrange pickup and return, and address payment or Equipment questions. We do not sell your information. Contact us using the details on your confirmation if you have a question about it.
